“It’s becoming apparent that with any Marinero release, you are guaranteed a mood—here relaxed, clear, and sunny. Like a perfect L.A. day.” - [La La La Album Review] Under The Radar
Available today, April 1st, Los Angeles songwriter Marinero will release a companion piece to his stellar 2025 record, La La La. This 5-song collection features remixes by San Francisco’s Healing Potpouri (Run for Cover Records), LA post-punk project Smirk, and Night Heron from Portland, who performed live on KEXP last month. “This remix EP was made possible by the talented friends I’ve met through various music scenes on the West Coast and in Mexico,” shares the group's creative force, Jess Sylvester. “It’s been a treat hearing them each bring their unique styles and personalities, which I love dearly, to my own music.”
Smirk’s Nick Vicario adds about his remix of “Die Again, Yesterday.” “I had the pleasure of doing a remix for my old friend Jess that I’m really excited about. His album La La La was on heavy rotation for my family all summer, so getting to rework one of the songs meant a lot. It was a super fun project, and I’m really happy this one’s finally out.”
Marinero will perform on April 11th with Chola Orange at Hello Stranger in Los Angeles.
