Hardly Art has signed tofusmell, the recording project from Orlando, Florida musician and singer Rae Chen, and will release Humor, their first EP for the label, on all DSPs worldwide on June 30th, 2023. Humor, which includes the singles “Basil Noodles” and “Keith,” was produced and mixed by tofusmell at Rae’s Home in Winter Garden, Florida, and mastered by Sarah Register in New York. It follows the release of “Shower Song,” released last year as part of the label’s 15th Anniversary Singles Series.

Hardly Art Signs ill peach For The Known Universe

Hardly Art is elated to announce the signing of Los Angeles group, ill peach to their robust roster of artists. This signing follows the release of the band’s 2022 Hardly Art single “COMATOSE” which was included in the label’s 15th Anniversary digital series. Forming after a stint at SkinWalker Ranch in Gusher, UT, the grit-pop duo comprised of members Jess Corazza and Pat Morrissey fuse together experimental sounds with ethereal vocals. They’re enamored in future tech melding with art, yet they also place moments of nostalgia and snippets of everyday life in their tracks.
